It took weeks to find the perfect name for my sustainable organic olive oil. But thanks to my father, I finally discovered Mycena . Join us on the journey and learn more about our story:
It was important to me to find a unique name for my sustainable organic olive oil. It should reflect the tradition of olive oil, its very special quality of enjoyment, and my connection between Tunisia and Germany. My parents wanted to open an olive oil museum in Tunisia 30 years ago, which is why we have a few history books on the subject. We spent weeks browsing through these books together about the origins of olive oil in Tunisia.
At first, however, we didn't find anything. Either the names weren't flowing or they weren't original enough. One day, my father came to me with a brochure. It described how olive oil came to Tunisia. It was about the Mycenaean culture and how, according to the history books, they brought the olive tree to what is now Tunisia. The whole thing happened in the time before Christ. My father showed my mother the find, and we played various word games with it until Mycena was finally born. The connection to the history of olive oil was thus created for my sustainable organic olive oil. A development process that took several weeks and months.
