The olive tree grows in all areas of the Mediterranean and partly also around the
Black Sea, i.e. in areas that do not have extreme climatic conditions.
It can withstand high heat, but suffers slightly from frost in cold winters. It is considered
Characteristic plant of the Mediterranean flora and indicates the areas in which it
thrives in areas with a Mediterranean or Mediterranean climate. The olive tree
takes a long time to grow, but can live for several hundred years.
